New Delhi: After a survey that lasted three days and a total of 10 hours, the Hindu side yesterday claimed to have found a Shivling at the Vajukhana of Gyanvapi Mosque. The Hindu side had moved the court for its protection, upon which the court ordered the sealing of the Vajukhana. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the mosque committee's plea against the survey in Gyanvapi today. A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and PS Narasimha will hear the petition. The petitioner Anjuman Saman Mazajid Committee has challenged the high court's decision to the Supreme Court.

It is to be noted that the survey work of Gyanvapi has been completed yesterday. Today, the court commissioner was supposed to submit its report to the court of Civil Judge Senior Division of Varanasi, but it is being told that the report is not yet ready. Today, an application will be filed in the court seeking the next date. Assistant Court Commissioner Ajay Pratap Singh told the media that about 50 per cent of the reports have been prepared. We will seek three to four days' time from the court to prepare the complete report.  

On the other hand, the Muslim side claimed that the entire country is being confused by calling the fountain a Shivlinga. On Tuesday, advocate Vishnu Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, said, "We know the difference between the fountain and the Shivling.'' "If there is a fountain, then there will be a whole system of water coming out, but the way it is shaped like a Shivlinga. Some sticks were put in it, but it did not go much inside, so whether the Shivling was broken or not? I can't say this very clearly, but in the eyes of me and the Hindu side, it is a Shivling.''
