NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has refused to ask the UP government for a progress report on the other 20 cases registered against the Unnao rape victim and her family. The apex court said that we do not want to expand the scope of the case further and do not want to interfere in the other matter.

It is worth mentioning here that the Court in Delhi has framed charges against MLA Kuldeep Sengar in the rape, poxo, kidnapping clauses in the Unnao rape case. Earlier, Kuldeep Singh Sengar was produced before the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi after a production warrant issued by the court, after which the court had transferred Sengar to Tihar Jail. The apex court had ordered transfer of four cases except road accidents in five cases to the  Court.  The Court is to complete the trial within 45 days.

On July 28, the rape victim was going to Rae Bareli jail to meet her uncle along with her family members and lawyer. In Rae Bareli, his car was hit by a truck. The victim's two aunts and car driver died in the incident while the condition of the victim and his lawyer is critical. Both are fighting the battle of life and death in Delhi's AIIMS.
