The Supreme Court has set a 10-day time period for hearing cases related to discrimination against women at religious places including the Sabarimala temple in the Indian state of Kerala.

According to media reports, the hearing on January 13 was started by a 9-member constitution bench on the issue of women and girls of all ages entering the Sabarimala temple and other issues such as alleged discrimination against Muslim and Parsi women. The notice was issued on Monday, listing this hearing on the petition of the Indian Young Lire Association. In this petition, a request has been made to consider the historic decision of the year 2018 to allow women of all ages to enter the Sabarimala temple.
