Diamond traders from Surat have shone differently in the world market. Diamond workers have presented unique jewellery at the James & Jewellery International Exhibition this time, with diamond-studded umbrellas being the centre of attraction, which has been created after orders received from the US. In fact, this diamond-studded umbrella has been created by a Surat company after order received from the US. According to Chetna Mangukiya, the diamond merchant who made it, it has a 175-carat diamond. The umbrella has been prepared with more than 12,000 diamonds in about 450 grams of gold.

About 25 to 30 artisans worked 25 days to make it. This umbrella can be purchased in the diamond market for Rs 25 to 30 lakh. According to the trader, they are receiving orders from diamond markets like the USA, Europe, Hong Kong etc. Gracy, a woman who came to the James and Jewellery Exhibition, said there is more than one diamond-studded piece of jewellery. From diamond necklaces to earrings and bracelets are present. In the midst of all this, however, the diamond-studded umbrella is attracting people. Those who see it do think of buying it.
