Actress Surekha Sikri, who won the National Award for her grandmother's role in Bollywood's superhit film Badhaai Ho, is battling a disease. During that time, Surekha added: "Badhaai Ho was released in October and a month later I had this stroke. It also caused me to have a mild paralysis attack. I couldn't eat much. This caused me to lose weight significantly. My family is looking after me.'" she also told everyone about her upcoming project and said, "I have signed a short film with Zoya Akhtar. It's a very exciting project that I'll start shooting soon," she said.
