New Delhi: Former Indian cricket batsman Suresh Raina has been embroiled in controversy over a statement. The former hungry batsman of the Indian team was called in to comment on the opening match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). Raina has been heavily criticized on social media after his statement.

 

 

Mentions Suresh Raina has been an integral part of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK). During the commentary of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, when the commentators questioned him how he adopted the culture of South India. In response, Raina said, "I think I am also a Brahmin, I have been playing in Chennai since 2004, I love the culture here, I love my teammates, I have played cricket here with Anirudh Srikanth, S Badrinath, and Laxmipathi Balaji.'' Raina further said, "We have a good administration in CSK, we have a license to prove ourselves, I love the culture here, I consider myself lucky that I am part of the CSK.''

 

 

After his statement, social media users took a dig at Raina. Then a user on social media wrote, Suresh Raina, you should be ashamed. According to the TNPL commentator, Raina was asked this question because he has been seen dancing, wearing a dhoti, and whistling several times. Social media users are telling Raina a liar after his racist remarks during TNPL's commentary. Suresh Raina's statement 'I am a Brahmin' is trending.
