The inauguration of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple scheduled for January 22, 2024, has led to a surge in flight ticket prices to the newly named Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport. Tickets for travel to Ayodhya on the specific day have seen a significant spike in cost, anticipating the momentous consecration ceremony.

The escalated prices are evident across multiple cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and others, ahead of the Ram Temple's consecration, set to be graced by dignitaries like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and various other notable figures.

For instance, the regular price for a flight ticket from New Delhi to Ayodhya typically ranges between Rs 10,000 to Rs 10,500. However, the fare for an IndiGo flight on January 21 has surged to Rs 15,199.

Likewise, the prices from Kolkata to Ayodhya on January 22 have soared, demanding approximately Rs 15,000 for a one-way trip. Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bhopal have witnessed similar increases in flight ticket costs, with prices ranging from Rs 13,300 to Rs 22,000, depending on the origin city.

As of December 19, 2023, flight ticket prices for various routes leading to Ayodhya International Airport have exhibited substantial hikes. The rates listed are subject to change as the date of the ceremony approaches. For instance:

  • New Delhi to Ayodhya: Rs 10,000 to Rs 16,000
  • Mumbai to Ayodhya: Rs 19,758 to Rs 20,200
  • Ahmedabad to Ayodhya: Rs 18,500 to Rs 20,000
  • Kolkata to Ayodhya: Rs 21,000 to Rs 22,000
  • Hyderabad to Ayodhya: Rs 20,000
  • Bengaluru to Ayodhya: Rs 22,000

These prices are reflective of the rates on December 19, 2023, and are anticipated to fluctuate in the lead-up to the event.
