Dehradun: The Congress party has accused the Modi government of using the sacrifice and valor of the army for its political gains. Various restrictions have been imposed on the purchase of things in the CSD canteen. Alleged that PM bought 5 cars in 7 years, but army soldier can buy only one car from canteen for the whole job. Apart from this, tax has also been imposed on the disability pension of jawans.

Surjewala said that the soldiers are being treated step-motherly in the Pay Commission. Apart from this, short service commissioned military officers are being denied treatment in the Military Hospital. Military officers of the three services are being denied non-functional upgrades. He told that during the tenure of Congress governments, ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, retired soldiers who were injured in service were given petrol pump, gas agency, coal loading, transport contract, government security contract on priority basis, but the Modi government did this. The facilities are almost gone.
