Veteran entertainment actress Surveen Chawla is celebrating her birthday today. Surveen is not the first actress many have unveiled this ugly face of Bollywood before. In a 2019 interview, Surveen Chawla spoke about casting couch and said, 'I faced casting couch thrice. There was a time when I was asked to go with a filmmaker.' For a character, the director told me, 'I want to know every inch of your body parts. I started ignoring such people from then onward.'
She added, 'It was a very long audition with a National Award-winning director from the South, lasted about a shift. I had to do all the things like a monologue or something suddenly. I was a little sick and returned after auditioning.' Then the director suddenly said to come to Mumbai, I found it very scary and I said 'No, thank you.' Talking about the experience of a casting couch in Hindi cinema, Surveen said, 'It happened very recently. I had to leave an office because someone forced me to do it.' Surveen said, 'A filmmaker wanted to see what my cleavage looks like and he also wants to see my thighs. Yes, these kinds of things really happen.'
