Lucknow: After the order of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, the survey of unrecognized madrasas is starting from today in the state. In this, the District Minority Welfare Officer along with his team will visit the madrassas and conduct a survey. Apart from the administration, and education department, people from the minority welfare department will be included in the team. During the survey, information about the number of students and teachers in each district of the state as well as the source of income of the madrasa would be collected. The Yogi government has directed that after completing the survey work by October 5, the report should be sent to the government by October 25.

At the same time, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Friday accused the BJP of trying to interfere in the operation of private madrasas and terrorizing the Muslim community on the pretext of the survey. Mayawati has said in a tweet that 'the complaint of Muslim society being exploited, neglected and riot-victimized, etc. have been common since the time of Congress, and Now after coming to power by doing narrow politics in the name of appeasement by BJP, the game of repressing and terrorizing them continues, which is very sad and condemnable. In this sequence, now the BJP government has a crooked eye on madrasas in UP.'

In fact, on August 31, the Yogi government of UP decided to conduct a survey of unrecognized madrassas in the state to check the status of basic facilities. State's Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Danish Azad Ansari had informed that the state government has decided to conduct a survey of all unrecognized madrassas in the state as per the requirement of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights in connection with the availability of basic facilities to the students in madrassas. He said that it would be started soon.

Terrorists caught from madrasas:-

Let us tell you that recently many terrorists have been arrested from madrasas in Assam. In the last few weeks, the police arrested terrorists belonging to the terrorist organization Al Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT). These terrorists were working as imams or clerics in mosques and madrasas. The latest arrest was made on Wednesday (31 August 2022) of a terrorist named Ajmal Hussain. He was nabbed by the police from the capital Guwahati. Ajmal was a cleric in a madrasa, but was working for the terrorist organization Al Qaeda and the Ansarullah Bangla team.

Assam DGP Jyoti Mahanta has claimed that terrorists in the state are hiding in the guise of clerics and carrying out anti-national activities. So far 38 terrorists have been apprehended in Assam, and 3 such madrasas have been demolished, which had become the den of terrorism. At the same time, terrorists have also been arrested several times from Darul Uloom Deoband in Uttar Pradesh. Some such jihadis have also been caught, who were infusing the poison of radicalism among the Muslim youth of India, in such a situation, if a survey of madrasas is conducted for the security of the country, then what is the problem in that?
