`Surya Kiran-Xi`, the joint military exercise between India and Nepal will begin in Pithoragarh area of Uttarakhand on Monday. Between the two armies, it is a is a battalion level joint exercise.
This will be the two-week exercise which aims at training of both the troops in the area of various counter-insurgency operations over a prolonged period.The humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations and environmental conservation are the other aspects which will be focused.
During the exercise, both the armies will be benefited. The series is conducted biannually by India and Nepal alternatively.
