 New Delhi [India], Dec 23 (NT): Minister of External Affairs (MEA) Sushma Swaraj has solicited the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to grant the medical visa to a Pakistan national for his medical treatment in India.

This was informed by Swaraj’ Twitter wall “I have asked Indian High Commission in Islamabad to issue the medical visa to Maqbool Ahmad Qureshi - a Pakistan national for his treatment in India. @IndiainPakistan,”  ) Sushma Swaraj, wrote in a Twitter post.

Maqbool Ahmad Qureshi, The patient, who is suffering from the fourth stage of cancer, had appealed to Sushma Swaraj through Twitter.

For this moment, in another tweet, a woman made an appeal to the External Affairs Minister to grant the visa to her husband who is put up in Islamabad.

"I have told Indian High Commission in Islamabad to issue Visa to the groom, his brothers/sisters, and the parents. @IndiainPakistan,"  Sushma Swaraj tweeted.

On December 21, the MEA minister took to Twitter handle to declare that medical visas have been issued to two children from Pakistan and also offered the prayer for their fast recovery.

"There is a request for the medical visa for two children from Pakistan - Anamta Farrukh (6 yrs) and Sahir (7 yrs). We have given them Visa for their treatment in India and pray for their early recovery. @IndiainPakistan," she tweeted. (NT)
