Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself on 14 June 2020. He was 34 years old. According to many reports, he was suffering from depression, due to which he took a strong step like suicide. Now the Mumbai Police is investigating this case. Till 20 June, the police had questioned 16 people. In the same sequence, on Monday, 22 June, the police questioned Sushant Singh Rajput's closest friend Rohini Iyer.

According to the news, Rohini Iyer arrived at Bandra Police Station on Monday morning and left from there after noon. No information has been found about what Rohini has said in her statement. Many reports say that she has been asked about Sushant's personal life and friendship. Apart from all these, it is also being said that the Mumbai Police has issued summons to another close friend of Sushant Singh for question and answer. Police has kept this person's identity hidden. Before this, on 18 June, Mumbai Police questioned Rhea Chakraborty for about 10 hours.

Rhea told during interrogation that she met him for the first time during the shooting of Yash Raj Films 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' and after that, they became good friends after meeting in many parties. Rhea had told that in the year 2019, Sushant proposed to me. Sushant told me, 'I cannot say indirectly to you that I am saying this directly. I like you I want to make you my girlfriend. Rhea said that she also loved Sushant and the relationship started between the two. She said that after completing the 'Dil Bechara' film in September 2019, Sushant started getting signs of depression.
