New Delhi: Some opposition parties across the country are constantly demanding the Modi government at the Centre to conduct an ethnic census along with this census. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and several other leaders have also met PM Narendra Modi in the past.

However, the Central Government has not agreed to this and is giving practical difficulties in conducting caste census. The government says it is too late now. Now, it is not possible to change the process. Rajya Sabha member and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said that the affidavit given by the Central government in the Supreme court clearly shows that it is not feasible for the Central government to conduct it, this time the census will be conducted in a handheld device or digital manner. The entire preparation of the census is done three years in advance. His manual has been printed. His timetable has been made, the training work has also been completed.

He further said that when the economic-ethnic census conducted in 2011, which is the backward castes all over the country, was detected, there will be hardly seven to eight thousand castes within this country. The Centre said that all preparations have been made for the census. Now, it is not possible for the Government to conduct a census for the backward people at the last moment. But one can make a kingdom if it wants to.
