Launched earlier this year in March, the new Suzuki Access 125 automatic scooter has been recalled, stated the company in an official statement. The number of units affected are 54,740 units, The affected units of Suzuki Access 125 were manufactured between March 8 and June 22, 2016.

This means all units of Suzuki Access 125 which were sold since the time it was launched, have been affected by the latest recall.

The reason for recall, as stated by the company, is a faulty rear axle shaft. As there is no Govt agency which acts as a watchdog for manufacturing defects in India, the recall is a voluntary one.

Suzuki says that the rear axle shaft will be replaced free of cost to all their customers of Access 125.
