New Delhi: The Jimny is a popular small off-road vehicle in the European and Australian markets, despite the fact that it is yet to be officially showcased on Indian soil.

Japanese automaker Suzuki has unveiled a "Heritage Special Edition" model to honor the model's illustrious past. It gets retro-inspired decals, red mudflaps and four color schemes: Black Pearl, Jungle Green, White and Medium Grey. A total of 3,000 units will be produced.

The Jimny, which made its debut in the late 1970s as a small off-road vehicle, is the most affordable SUV in the world thanks to its direct four-wheel-drive (4WD) system and retro-inspired but practical famous as design.

It became famous for its small size and ability to travel anywhere. A practical five-door version of the tough off-roader will soon be available in India.

Only the three-door model of the Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition is offered. The SUV is distinguished by its clamshell bonnet, round LED headlamps, blacked-out grille with vertical slats, squared-off ORVMs, flared wheel arches and black cladding.

It also gets five-spoke alloy wheels, retro-inspired decals and red mudflaps. At the rear, there are bumper mounted taillights, roof mounted antenna and tailgate mounted spare wheel.

The 1.5-litre, inline-four, K-series petrol engine that powers the limited-edition Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with the company's "AllGrip" four-wheel-drive system. The max output of the mill is 103 horsepower and 134 Nm of max torque.

Interior features of the Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition include a spacious four-seater cabin, an all-black dashboard, a "Jimny Heritage" cargo tray, unique limited-run badging, premium fabric upholstery, automatic climate control and a leather-wrapped Is. Steering Wheel.

The SUV includes an infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as a semi-digital instrument cluster. Multiple airbags protect passengers during a collision.

The Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition is available only in Australia and costs $33,490. (Rs 18.54 lakh approximately). It is usually available in White and Black Pearl, Jungle Green, and Medium Gray schemes, which cost $695 more (roughly Rs. 38,500) than the White one.
