Indore: Winners of 'Swachh Survekshan-2021' have been announced. Indore city of Madhya Pradesh came first for the fifth consecutive time. President Ram Nath Kovind today felicitated the winners. Surat (Gujarat) is second and Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) is third in Swachh Survekshan-2021. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0, certified cities under the category of garbage-free cities were felicitated under the category of garbage-free cities on the lines of PM Narendra Modi's vision of making India garbage-free. While Varanasi of UP has been ranked first in the category of cleanest Ganga city in the annual sanitation survey of the Central Government.
