Lucknow: Amid the political turmoil in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, OBC leader Swami Prasad Maurya, who left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and switched over to the Samajwadi Party (SP), has now changed his traditional seat as well. The SP has now given the ticket to Swami Prasad from the Fazilnagar seat instead of Padrauna.

However, Swami Prasad Maurya has now changed his seat in the same way, but due to RPN Singh, who left the Congress and joined the BJP, is considered to be a big factor behind it, while the political equation of the Fazilnagar seat is also one of the reasons. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether Swami Prasad is able to reach the Assembly for the sixth time or not?  Swami Prasad Maurya's entry into the SP has dealt a major political blow to the BJP. In such a situation, the BJP has played a big bet by bringing in RPN Singh from Congress.

The BJP inducted the Royal Court of Padrauna, the king of Padrauna and veteran Congress leader RPN Singh, into its fold. This disturbed the political equation of Padrauna. The contest against RPN Singh in Padrauna could have been difficult for Swami Prasad. In such a situation, Swami Prasad Maurya, inciting anti-incumbency and people's resentment, played the bet to change his seat so that he did not have to struggle too hard to win in the area.
