Passing the Citizenship Amendment Bill from Lok Sabha, Bollywood actresses gave such reaction

The Citizenship Amendment Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha. 311 votes in favor of the bill and 80 votes in its opposition. Home Minister Amit Shah introduced the bill on Monday. Amid heavy uproar, he kept it in the House, which was strongly opposed by opposition parties, especially the Congress.

Voting also took place when the bill was introduced in the House, after which discussion on it started. While a large number of people are supporting this bill, some are against it. Three big Bollywood actresses have objected to this bill. Swara Bhaskar tweeted,  'I do not want my hard earned money as a taxpayer to be spent in funding this sick bigoted NRC/CAB project!'

Former Bigg Boss contestant and actress Gauhar Khan along with Swara Bhaskar also opposed the Citizenship Amendment Bill. He wrote on Twitter, '#CitizenshipAmendmentBil Sad day for Indian democracy!' Actress Richa Chadha has also tweeted in response to this bill. Sharing a tweet, he wrote, 'God save us'

Prime Minister Modi expressed happiness


After the bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness over it. He tweeted, after a good and wide debate, the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 Bill was passed. I thank the various MPs and parties who supported the Bill. The bill is in line with India's age-old ethos and belief in human values.
