After a movie poster showing a woman dressed like Kali went viral, various prominent political and Bollywood personalities are sharing their views on Kali controversies. This controversy gave birth to a debate between these personalities.  Now another prominent personality, Swara Bhaskar shared her opinion on the issue.

Swara Bhaskar who frequently shares her views on the various political and social issues has supported Mahua Moitra’s statement on Kali Controversy. Swara did not say anything directly, but she praised Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra for speaking openly. Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra recently gave a statement to the media that ‘Kali has many forms’. To me, Kali means a meat lover and a goddess who accepts wine. People have different opinions, I have no problem with it.

Swara has supported this statement of Mahua Moitra and praised her for raising her voice. Tagging Mahua Moitra on her official Twitter handle, Swara wrote, ‘Mahua Moitra is fantastic. May his voice get more courage.

 This controversy started when Leena (a Film Director) shared the poster of the documentary ‘Kali’ on her official Twitter handle. In this poster, Maa Kali is shown smoking a cigarette and has a flag of the LGBT community in one of her hands.  After this poster went viral people started accusing the director of hurting religious sentiments in order to gain some popularity and called it another attack on hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Some users also demanded the arrest of the director. People are already very upset with Mahua’s comment and now Swara Bhaskar’s tweet has sparked the fire.
