Swara did not say anything directly, but she praised Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra for speaking openly. Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra recently gave a statement to the media that ‘Kali has many forms’. To me, Kali means a meat lover and a goddess who accepts wine. People have different opinions, I have no problem with it.

In this poster, Maa Kali is shown smoking a cigarette and has a flag of the LGBT community in one of her hands. After this poster went viral people started accusing the director of hurting religious sentiments in order to gain some popularity and called it another attack on hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Some users also demanded the arrest of the director. People are already very upset with Mahua’s comment and now Swara Bhaskar’s tweet has sparked the fire.
