Lucknow: Polling for the third phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh is scheduled to be held on February 20. Earlier, BJP state unit president Swatantra Dev Singh attacked Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav. He said Akhilesh has entered the fray from Karhal by not contesting from his Karmabhoomi Kannauj, where he was an MP, his wife was also an MP.

Swatantra Dev Singh further said that this is because he does not believe in any section of the society, caste. Even the Muslims did not believe them. They are fighting Karhal, not from Kannauj, but they are also groaning in Karhal because the people will reject them. Listing out the work done by his government in the state, the BJP leader said that earlier big men used to have toilets, gas cylinders, electricity and pucca houses, but now everyone has toilets, electricity, pucca houses and gas cylinders.

He further said that we are going among the people, only we will get their blessings. We have got a tremendous one-sided vote in the first and second phases and we are forming the government with a thumping majority. "There is no one like Modi and Yogi, 27 ministers from OBCs and backwards have been made in our government.''
