Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was met by Sharda Peetham North Chairperson Swatmanandendra Saraswati on Tuesday at his camp office. Swatmanandendra Saraswati later told the media that he had spoken to the CM on the security of the temples. Swarupananda Swamy reported the instructions to the Chief Minister.

"CM Jagan responded positively to what he said. The CM said the investigation into the attacks would be expedited. He said strict action would be taken against the culprits. The CM said the foundation stone would be laid on the 8th of this month to rebuild the temples demolished in Vijayawada during the previous government. He said CCTV cameras have already been installed in 30,000 temples. CM YS Jagan said that the government will take the lead in safeguarding the orthodox religion, "said Swatmanandendra Saraswati.
