The famous Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone always remains in discussions due to his films. The Expendables is a 2010 American action film written by David Callaham and Sylvester Stallone, and directed by Stallone, who also starred in the lead role. The film co-stars Jason Statham, Jet Lee, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crew, Steve Austin, and Mickey Rourke. The film was released on August 13, 2010, in the United States. This is the first installment in The Expendables film series. It was Dolph Lundgren's first theatrically released film, which was Johnny Mnemonic of 1995 and Steve Austin's last theatrical release film until 2013's Grown Ups 2. The film is about a group of aristocratic mercenaries who work with a mission to overthrow a Latin American dictator, whom they soon control by a ruthless ex-CIA agent. It pays homage to the blockbuster action films of the 1980s and early 1990s. It was distributed by Lionsgate.

The script, written in 20 hours, sold for 17 lakhs: The story of Sylvester's struggle, which won everyone's heart with his acting in many Hollywood films, is as dramatic as a film. It is said that once he stole his wife's jewelry too. So that he could start a business but his dream proved to be very expensive. His days started changing from a wrestling match. He wrote the script of the film Rocky, inspired by a match between the famous wrestler Mohammed Ali and Chak Wepner of those days which he wrote in just 20 hours. A famous production house offered to buy his script for Rs 17 lakh. But he conditioned to be cast as a hero in the film to be made on this script.

The production house rejected his condition saying that he looks very funny. The tone of his talk is very comical. Sylvester found it very bad and refused to give his script. After which in a few days the production house contacted him again and this time offered him the role of hero with a payment of 23 lakh rupees. This time Sylvester immediately agreed. After this, the film 'Rocky' was recorded in the golden words of film history. The film was also awarded an Oscar in the Best Film, Best Direction, Best Editing Best Actor category. After reaching a golden milestone, Sylvester made three rounds of the shop where he had sold his dog, which he later bought for Rs 23 lakh. In his crispy days, Sylvester sold his pet dog for just 1700 rupees.
