Symbol of Cooperation: Ambassador Magoshi Graces Lebanon Project Handover, A Testament to Japan's Generosity

Beirut: Japan continues to go above and beyond in helping the Lebanese healthcare system.

The Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Programme (GGP) provided funding for the delivery of cutting-edge medical equipment to Qabeit Primary Health Care Centre in Akkar on Tuesday. Ambassador MAGOSHI Masayuki was present for the ceremony.

Dr. Randa Hamadeh, president of the primary healthcare unit in Lebanon and a representative of His Excellency the Minister of Public Health, His Excellency MP Ahmed Restom, His Excellency Sheikh Zeid Zakaria, mufti of Akkar, Abdallah Mohamad, president of the Al-Aranisa Charitable Association, and Dr. Mohamad Hamza, president of the Shouroukat Association, were all present at the ceremony.

Al Aranisa Charitable Association implemented the project, which will provide the region's 1,250 most vulnerable patients with yearly access to high-quality primary healthcare services at an affordable price.

As he noted the current difficulties faced by rural healthcare facilities due to the ongoing socio-economic crisis, Ambassador MAGOSHI of Japan emphasised the importance of providing sustainable, equal, and high-quality health care services for all. He also expressed Japan's eagerness to support the Lebanese health sector in its efforts to aid the most vulnerable.

Dr. Hamadeh responded by bringing up Japan's recent varied support for Lebanon's health sector and highlighting the significance of this initiative by outlining the crucial functions of primary health care facilities.

MP Restom, Mufti Zakaria, Mohamad, and Dr. Hamza expressed gratitude to Japan for its kind support and stressed the significant impact this initiative will have on the impoverished Akkar region.
