ADELAIDE: Jos Buttler, the captain of England, won the toss and decided to bowl first against India in the Men's T20 World Cup second semifinal on Thursday at the Adelaide Oval. The victor of the game on Thursday will take on Pakistan in the championship game on Sunday at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

After deciding to bat first, Buttler revealed that right-handed batsman Phil Salt and veteran speed all-rounder Chris Jordan would replace injured left-handed batter Dawid Malan and pacer Mark Wood in the starting lineup.
"There will be a wonderful mood here. We must rapidly adapt as the measurements are obviously a little different here. Good looking wicket. Wishing you good luck throughout the game" he added.

Rishabh Pant continues to start ahead of Dinesh Karthik in India's playing eleven after their 71-run victory against Zimbabwe in their most recent Group 2 match, according to captain Rohit Sharma.

"We've played some solid cricket; this is another chance for us to play the same way we have throughout the competition. It's crucial to maintain composure and play the game out. We've played these players quite a bit recently, so we are familiar with their strengths and flaws." "Use that to your advantage. It's crucial to maintain our composure and act as we please. I was scared when I got hurt, but I'm good now. Picking the starting XI was difficult given the calibre of our talent, " he said.

This will be England's first game at the Adelaide Oval in the current season, despite India having previously played there during their five-run victory over Bangladesh in Group 2 last week.

In the event in Adelaide, teams that choose to bat first have a 4-2 win-loss record. In the current event at the Adelaide Oval, no side has triumphed after winning the toss.

India leads England with a score of 12-10 in head-to-head T20 International matches. In Men's T20 World Cups, India leads England 2-1 and triumphed by a same score in the bilateral series between the two sides in July of this year.
XI lineups: KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, and Arshdeep Singh are the players for India.
Alex Hales, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, and Chris Jordan make up England's starting lineup.
