Melbourne: Team India defeated the Netherlands by a huge margin of 56 runs in the second Super-12 match of the T20 World Cup played in Sydney. This is India's second consecutive win in the T20 World Cup 2022 and now they have reached the top of Group 2. Team India is now eyeing to make its place in the semi-finals. Earlier, captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav scored brilliant innings, Team India scored 179 in this match. In response, the Netherlands team could score only 123 runs for 9 wickets.  

For India, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets each. At the same time, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Arshdeep Singh also got 2-2 wickets. Pringle top-scored for the Netherlands with 20, followed by Colin Akerman (17) and Max O'Dowd (16). In this match, Team India won the toss and decided to bat first, but KL Rahul, who flopped in the last match, could not do anything special in this match and returned to the pavilion after scoring just 9 runs.  

After this, captain Rohit Sharma and the hero of the last match Virat Kohli started taking the news of the Netherlands bowlers and both of them added 73 runs for the second wicket. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 53 runs off 39 balls, his innings included 4 fours and 3 sixes. After Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav came to the crease and started batting stormily. Yadav scored 51 runs in just 25 balls, which included 7 fours and a towering six.  

At the same time, Kohli, who won the match against Pakistan, looked in tremendous form this time too and he played an unbeaten inning of 62 runs off 44 balls. Kohli hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. For The Netherlands, Fred Klaasen and Paul van Mikren took one wicket each.
