Lucknow: Mukhtar Ahmed, the owner of Baba Biryani, who was arrested in connection with the violence that broke out in Kanpur on July 3, 2022, has revealed several secrets in the interrogation of the police. The police have received several important information about crowd funding from Mukhtar. At the same time, the sentiment of the stone pelters has also been revealed in the interrogation. At the same time, the owner of Baba Biryani has been sent to jail for 14 days in judicial custody. Along with all this, Mukhtar Ahmed is also accused of occupying the temple and running a biryani shop.
According to media reports, in the interrogation of the police, Mukhtar has confessed that the stone pelters were called from outside by paying Rs 500 to Rs 1000. At the same time, police have informed that the conspiracy of the violence was hatched in baba biryani's shop. In this conspiracy, 15 to 16 youths were assigned different tasks to incite violence. During the stone pelting, the accused was watching the entire incident by making video calls. During interrogation, Mukhtar Ahmed has also revealed the names of several other accused to the police. According to the report, the police have also collected information about Mukhtar's economic sources. The name of a bank manager has also been revealed in making Mukhtar a millionaire. The manager is also said to be involved in the fraud committed for this. This bank manager is accused of going against the rules and giving loans to Mukhtar in an arbitrary manner. However, the bank manager was later sacked. It is being said that the SIT constituted by the police may soon question the bank manager as well.
Mukhtar Ahmed was produced before a Kanpur court on June 22, 2022 (Wednesday), from where he has been sent to jail in 14-day judicial custody. The police have videographed the entire interrogation. Although he initially denied any involvement, he later confessed to the crime. It is being told that the police may also take custody remand of Mukhtar Ahmed for further interrogation.
