Kabul: The bloody game of the Taliban has intensified after the withdrawal of US troops in Afghanistan. Taliban militants have launched a massive attack on the Valley of Panjsheer, the stronghold of their rival Northern Alliance. Sources close to Tajik leader Ahmed Masood, who launched an insurgency against the Taliban in the Panjshir Valley, said Taliban militants attacked one of his posts in Panjshir valley on Tuesday evening.

Masood's close aide told the media that his fighters have foiled the Taliban attack. Sporadic war is still going on between the two sides. The Taliban have not yet commented on the attack. The Taliban reportedly carried out the attack in The Jabul Siraj region, which is part of Parwan province. According to reports, several fighters have been killed and injured in the attack.

Taliban have surrounded the Panjshir Valley and shut down the internet so that Supporters of Ahmed Masood are not able to contact the world. Former Vice President Amrulla Saleh is also standing in the Valley of Panjshir and has declared war against the Taliban, a terrorist group. Earlier, there were reports that talks were on between Taliban militants and Ahmed Masood over the agreement. However, the talks seem to be failing.
