Washington: A former US top official has expressed concern that the Taliban, a terror group, could now take over Pakistan and its nuclear weapons. He blamed the Biden government's Afghanistan evacuation drive of the US. John Bolton, who served as national security adviser (NSA) under former US President Donald Trump, said this while talking to a radio channel.

In fact, the Taliban captured Afghanistan on August 15, and now the same organization is ruling the country. Bolton criticized the Biden government for helping the Taliban capture the country rapidly because of the way the evacuation operation has been carried out. Due to which Islamic rule has once again come into force in Afghanistan. Bolton, who has held Trump's NSA, has criticized US foreign policy several times. At the same time, he has criticized his boss, Trump. He had supported Israel while speaking on foreign policy and said it had the right to take action to protect itself.

John Bolton said, "After the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan, the threat of militants occupying Pakistan has increased. This means that 150 nuclear weapons will be in the possession of terrorists.'' He said that if Pakistan is captured by the Taliban, it simply means that nuclear weapons will be in the hands of the Taliban. Bolton also expressed apprehension because the Taliban have seized US-made weapons and military vehicles as soon as foreign forces left Afghanistan.
