Kabul: Trade between Pakistan and the war-torn country has increased by 50 percent since the Taliban captured Afghanistan's border crossings and transport facilities. According to local media sources, despite all the difficulties in exchanges, Afghanistan's chamber of commerce and industry has reported that trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan has increased.

According to the chamber's deputy Khan Jan Alokozai, the challenges in the transit sector are clearly visible due to the closure of the bank. But Afghanistan's exports and Pakistan's imports have increased. Meanwhile, on Monday, August 23, members of Afghanistan's Chamber of Trade and Investment met with Taliban members and briefed them on the problems being faced in the private sector. The Taliban have promised to find a solution to the issue.

Iran has also increased oil and gas imports following the Taliban's insistence. Afghanistan Islamic Emirates spokesman Zabibullah mujahid said at a function on Monday that his government is doing everything possible to improve the economic system and implement the economic policy formulated by the government. On the other hand, in a surprising move, the Taliban's Economic and Finance Commission has ordered a ban on metal imports from Afghanistan until further orders.
