Kochi: Former Kerala minister and Muslim League MLA MK Munir has been threatened to death by the terror group Taliban. MK Munir claimed that he has been threatened with killing him and his entire family by sending a letter under the name of the Taliban. Munir claims that he received this threat after writing a post on social media against the brutal treatment of the people of Afghanistan by the Taliban.

Actually, recently the MLA had embedded a post on social media. In this post, MK Munir had mentioned that the Taliban has taken barbaric action against the people of Afghanistan. MK Munir says that he received this threatening letter on Wednesday (August 25, 2021) morning. The letter said that he and his entire family would be killed if he did not remove his social media post within 24 hours. This letter is written with the title 'Taliban Oru Vismayam' (Taliban, a wonder). It also said that this Facebook post of Munir reflects his "anti-Muslim" views. This letter was posted from the Government Medical College area.

In this, referring to Professor TJ Joseph, it has been said that he will also be attacked in the same way as Professor. Let us tell you that Joseph was accused of blasphemy and in the year 2010, his hands were severed. On 4 July 2010, his right hand was severed by Islamic fundamentalists on charges of blasphemy. He was attacked by 7 youths of a radical Muslim organization when he was returning from church with his family after praying. The fundamentalists alleged that questions asked in the questions paper were related to blasphemy. MK Munir says that in this case he will file a complaint in the police station and demand an inquiry.
