Innovative Film Academy (IFA), makers of reality TV show Master Chef, blamed former host Tamannaah Bhatia for "delay" the completion of the season and the latter alleged loss of Rs 5 crore due to her "other commitments". In the statement, the makers stated the commitment to complete the project in 18 shooting days and a remuneration of Rs. 2 crores to actress Tamannaah Bhatia for this.

He added that the actress was paid Rs 1.56 crore for the 16 shooting days for which she has appeared. The production house also alleged that Tamannaah is demanding advance payment for the second season to complete the shooting of the finale. Tamannaah recently sued the makers for alleged 'non-payment of dues'. Her lawyer's statement read, "Due to non-payment of dues on MasterChef Telugu and unprofessional conduct by production house Innovative Film Academy, Tamannaah Bhatia is being forced to take legal action.
