Chennai: An auto driver named N Kumarashan died in a hospital in Milanadu on Saturday night. The family has accused the police beat him brutally. Many marks of injury have been found on the body of the deceased and the hospital report also shows that he was having trouble breathing.

According to the information, N Kumarsen, an auto driver by profession, was called to the police station. Family members allege that the police of VK Pudur police station beat him brutally. The injured Kumaresan was admitted to a hospital in Surandai for treatment, from where he was referred to Thiruvanelli Government Hospital. He died during treatment.

The family of Kumaresan has filed a case against the police of VK Pudur police station. Kumarasan's father A Navneetkrishnan, speaking to a private news channel, said that the news of Kumaresan's death was received at 8 pm on Saturday. We wanted to go at the same time, but we were not allowed to go out of the house. He said that my wife fainted many times crying from 7 pm to 1 pm, then we were allowed to go out.
