Tamil Nadu Government cancelled UG and PG exams except for last semester exams

Chennai: Tamil Nadu has recently cancelled other examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate courses except for last semester in view of the epidemic. Chief Minister K.K. Palaniswami said, "Except for the final semester examinations, students who pay the fee for subjects related to other semesters and waiting for exams will be exempted from taking the exam. Apart from this, they will also be given points".

Palaniswami even said in one of his statements that keeping in mind the welfare of the students, his request has been accepted. According to him, a decision has been taken in this regard keeping in view the recommendations of a high-level committee. Apart from this, he also mentioned that 'this step has been taken in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education'.

There was also talk about issuing a detailed government order. Palaniswami said that 'He has instructed the Higher Education Department to issue a detailed government order on this subject.'
