DELHI:  Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M. K Stalin is scheduled   to visit Delhi on  Tuesday, 16th August to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for attending the opening ceremony of the 44th Chess Olympiad in Chennai which recently concluded. 

Yesterday was a busy day for Chief Minister Stalin as he attended several Independence Day events and award ceremonies. He then intended to go to New Delhi today to meet with the Vice President and President of India.

A number of laws passed by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly were not approved by Governor RN Ravi. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin intends to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to talk about this situation. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin will fly on Vistara Airlines from Chennai to Delhi at 9.30 p.m. today. He will formally meet Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and President Droupadi Murmu.

Following that, Tamil Nadu CM Stalin will thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping to organise the "44th Chess Olympiad" in Tamil Nadu and for attending the inaugural ceremony.

According to reports, Chief Minister Stalin would ask the Prime Minister to act quickly to approve the bills that the Tamil Nadu government has pending with the Governor on the arrears that the Central Government is supposed to pay to Tamil Nadu. 

Stalin would submit a petition seeking dues by central government to Tamil Nadu. Also, discussion on welfare schemes for the State would entail.
