AIADMK observes fourth death anniversary of former chief minister Idhaya Deivam Puratchithalavi J Jayalalitha

Late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was remembered on her fourth death anniversary on Saturday by Chief Minister and AIADMK Joint Coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister and Coordinator O Panneerselvam along with other leading party members and the die hard fans of the Idhayadeivam Puratchi thalavi J Jayalalitha. Adorned in black shirts, Palaniswami and Panneerselvam paid floral tributes at Jayalalithaa’s memorial in Marina beach.

During the occasion, the party pledged to fulfill the late chief minister's dreams by scoring a hat trick of electoral victories in next year's Assembly elections. MPs, MLAs and hundreds of party functionaries also paid their respect at Jayalalithaa's memorial, which was decorated with flowers. Later, Panneerselvam administered a pledge to the members to fulfill the dream of Jayalalithaa, saying she had dedicated 34 years of her life to the party and the people. "AIADMK is a millennial crop and a banyan tree that has provided support to all has been Amma's (Jayalalithaa) catchphrase. Let us pledge to continue working for the welfare of the people and also strive for a hat-trick victory in the assembly election," the pledge said.

On its official Twitter handle, AIADMK also posted a video in memory of J Jayalalithaa mentioning her historic quote. 

Edappadi K Palaniswami took twitter to recall Jayalalithaa's famous quote "Makkalal Nan, Makkalukakavey Nan". The members observed wo minutes' silence as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
