Madras: A priest who sexually abused minors has been exposed. He was doing such a thing by trapping their family members in his words by talking about the shadow of the soul on the minors. Priests also performed puja at the temple at Maduraivoyal in Chennai. Reports say that the minor girl has also been sexually assaulted several times by the priest of the Gangai Amman temple in Madurvoyal. The priest has been identified as Chandrashekhar (55). On the pretext of performing puja, the priest detained the minor in the temple. The priest had also misbehaved with the minor several times.

When the case came to light, another person came forward, he informed that his family had come in contact with the priest in the year 2018. Then the priest said that his minor daughter had the shadow of the soul on her, which she would have to worship to release. On the pretext of performing puja, the priest stopped the minor and his mother, who was studying in the 11th standard, in the temple for 15 days.

In the meantime, he sexually abused the minor by asking her to perform several pujas and threatening her not to tell anyone about it. When the minor told the family about this act happening to her, the father also started assaulting the priest Chandrashekhar, who had done the heinous act with his daughter. He was then admitted to the hospital. In the 2018 case, a case was registered under the POCSO Act against the priest Chandrashekhar on the complaint of other parents. After this, the police reached the hospital to arrest the accused priest. But as soon as the news of the arrival of the police came, the accused priest fled from the hospital.
