Chennai: A wedding card in Salem district of Tamil Nadu is fast going viral on social media. According to it, a bride named P Mamata Banerjee will take seven rounds on June 13, 2021 with a groom named AM Socialism. The name of the groom and bride has shocked everyone on social media. People are discussing whether this wedding card is real or edited.

However, both the bride and groom family members have confirmed that the wedding invitation is genuine and am socialism is the son of Lenin Mohan alias A Mohan, who is secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Salem. The names of the groom's elder brothers are also written in the card. One of the brothers is AM Communism and the other is AM Lenninism. According to media reports, on the unique tradition of such naming in the family, A Mohan said, "After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, people felt that the era of communism was over and that this ideology would never re-emerge in the world. There was also a clip on Doordarshan. It was during this time that my eldest son was born. I immediately decided to name him 'Communism'. Because I believed that as long as there is human beings, 'communism' will not end.”

Mohan further said that most people in Kattur village believe in the ideology of communism. He said that in his village, people will be commonly found in the names of Russia, Moscow, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Vietnam, Wenmani, etc.
