CHENNAI: M.K.Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, said on Wednesday that the Global Investors Meet will be held in December 2023.

Stalin announced this at the state Assembly, saying that the government will host an investors' meeting in December 2023 to attract more industrial investment.

He said that the government had signed 130 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with various investors, totaling Rs 68,375 crore in investment.

The government, he claims, will promote industrialization throughout the state.

Stalin stated that the memorandums of understanding signed by his government with investors will be translated into actual investments, creating jobs for a large number of people.

"The GIM's goal is to bring in a lot of investment from global players and extend the industry across Karnataka."

Last year , the authorities have chosen to acquire about 2,000 acres of land near Kalaburagi airport for development into an industrial hub, complete with all facilities and services, to boost industrialisation in Kalaburagi.
