Chennai: DMK's alliance partner Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Kachi (VCK) has created an earthquake in politics across the country by saying that the state of Tamil Nadu should be separated from India. Tamil Nadu BJP unit president K Annamalai shared a video of VCK deputy general secretary Vanni Arasu on social media. The video is from this month, in which Arasu is seen talking about separating Tamil Nadu from India at a public meeting. Â

To this, Annamalai said the state was going down a dangerous path with divisive forces coming to power. He accused the MK Stalin government of encouraging it without considering its consequences. In the video, VCK Deputy General Secretary Vanni Arasu is saying that 'from August 17 this year to August 17 next year, we will agitate. During this, we will campaign against Sanatan Dharma in different villages. We will connect the youth with the movement. For this, he will tell them about Thantai Periyar and BR Ambedkar. Even if we lose our lives in the war with Sanatan Dharma, we don't care.
Tamil Nadu BJP secretary SG Surya has spoken of taking action against the VCK leader for this. He said, 'First of all, there is a need to talk about facts. Ambedkar never talked of separation. He was a great leader who united the country, he has given the constitution. VCK is such a party which always keeps making such divisive rhetoric. This is not a new thing. But, this statement of the Deputy General Secretary of the party is highly condemnable. We demand CM Stalin to give a statement on this. Also, action must be taken against the leader making such statements.
