Hakimuddin of Haryana caught in Tamil Nadu over stealing cow and selling it in slaughterhouse

Chennai: Tamil Nadu's Vellore police on Monday (June 5, 2021) arrested 43-year-old Ahamuddin Hakimuddin, a resident of Haryana. The accused used to steal cows and sell them in slaughter houses. According to media reports, Pernambat police intercepted a lorry with registration number from Andhra Pradesh on suspicion. A cow was recovered from inside him after a search.

Police brought Hakimuddin to the police station with the help of locals speaking Hindi. During interrogation, it was found that in Bengaluru he took a mini lorry from his friend Shakeela and put a fake number plate on it and came to Tamil Nadu to steal the cows. During interrogation Hakimuddin confessed that he used to steal cows. He confessed that he had so far stolen 20 cows from vellore area and sold them in slaughter houses. One of the cows belonged to the Muslim man Razzak. She had complained that her cow had gone to graze but did not return. In addition, at least 10 farmers from Gudiyattam have complained to the police about the theft of cows.

During interrogation, Hakimuddin has admitted that he used to go from Haryana to different parts of south India and steal cattle. He would then sell them (slaughter houses) in slaughter houses. He was scheduled to stay at some places in south India before returning to Haryana.
