The historic Pamban railway bridge of Tamil Nadu goes viral now! The Ministry of Railways shared photos of the century old Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu after a fresh paint job today.

"Great Pamban Bridge, the century-old engineering marvel, has withstood the test of times and continues to woo tourists far and wide!" the Railway Ministry tweeted with the stunning photographs.... "Catch a glimpse of the newly painted Pamban Bridge," the ministry added.

The spectacular bridge, India's first cantilever bridge over the sea verticals and which is over 100 years old, continues to be closed for railway traffic since the Southern Railway took up works to mend the cracks on the girder of the two lifting spans of the bridge since December 4, 2018. The Pamban Bridge connects the town of Mandapam with Pamban Island and Rameswaram.
