New Delhi: Tanishq, the leading gold extraction company in the country, collects 80 kg of dust and waste material and extracts gold from it. It sounds a bit strange to hear. But this is true. Gold is extracted with the help of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) by collecting the clothes of the working staff and officers, handwashing water from the artisans and dust in the sandal.

Tanishq, the jewelery division of Titan Industries, is coming out on Diwali this time with its new plant, modern machines, and imported raw materials, a strategy for pure jewelery. In Tanishq unit at Pantnagar in Uttarakhand, 1,100 chains, rings and necklaces, and other jewelery are being manufactured daily in state-of-the-art machines purchased from America and Germany.

Tanishq buys zinc, silver, and copper used as this raw material from the US markets. Although its price in India is six times cheaper, the company claims that expensive goods are being sourced from outside only to provide purity and quality to the customers. These days, the price of gold is increasing constantly. Gold has reached its highest level. In India, gold is seen as a sacred metal.
