Muzaffarnagar, a 14-year-old girl was abducted by an occultist in Mokhampur village. The victim's family had complained that Sonu 26, a tantrik, abducted the girl on June 23 from the village.
According to police, yesterday, the accused was arrested and the girl rescued and the locals beat him up before handing him over to the police.
A case has been registered and the victim girl has been sent for medical examination to ascertain if she was raped.
