In 2018, a police case was registered after Tanushree made serious allegations against Nana in an interview to a channel. But due to lack of evidence, Nana was given a clean chit.

On the other hand, in this case, Tanushree is not ready to give up and in this case, Tanushree Dutta has again raised the demand for a fresh investigation. On Tuesday, her lawyer has demanded a fresh investigation against Nana. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve has been sent an e-mail by the actress's lawyer asking him to re-investigate the case.

Due to Tanushree Dutta, the MeToo movement in Bollywood trended. In October 2018, a case was filed against Nana at Oshiwara police station by the actress, although in June, the police filed a summary report. Which the lawyer of the actress said was biased.
