Tanzania Police Force receives 150 vehicles from Ashok Leyland

Dodoma: Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, announced on Thursday that it had given 150 trucks and buses to the Tanzania Police Force.

The Tanzanian Ministry of Home Affairs and Ashok Leyland entered into a contract for the supplies, which was funded by a long-term soft loan provided by the Export Import Bank of India.

According to a statement from Ashok Leyland, the vehicles delivered include police staff buses, 4X4 police troop carriers, ambulances, recovery trucks, and other logistical vehicles for the police support services.

Amandeep Singh, president of Ashok Leyland, stated in the statement that these 150 vehicles will be added to the 475 Ashok Leyland vehicles that the Tanzanian Police Force currently uses throughout the nation.

Currently, the Tanzania Police Force has a fleet of 625 Ashok Leyland vehicles, and more vehicles are expected to be delivered in the upcoming months, according to the commercial vehicle manufacturer.
