On Friday, Tarun Bajaj took over as the new secretary of the economic department. Earlier, Atanu Chakraborty was on this post. On 30 April Atanu retired from his post. Tarun Bajaj is an IAS of Haryana cadre. Prior to this, he was in the post of Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office.
