Between the lockdown and the Corona transition, a task force led by Economic Affairs Secretary Atanu Chakraborty linked investment plans of Rs 111 lakh crore to create the social and economic infrastructure needed to bolster economic growth during 2020-25. Has submitted its final report to the government. These projects will be implemented under the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP). This is a unique scheme of its kind. These projects will be implemented through consultations with the respective state governments, ministries and departments.

Three different committees will be formed to monitor the progress of projects, reduce delays and increase financial resources. The report of the committee has not yet been made public. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address on the occasion of Independence Day last year promised to implement the ambitious project of 100 lakh crore rupees to make the country an economy of five thousand billion dollars in the next five years.

Apart from this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman released a brief report prepared for 2019-2025 on 31 December. An official statement said that recommendations have been made in this report for major infrastructure projects. In the final report of the NIP Task Force, a total of Rs 111 lakh crore infrastructure projects have been recommended in the financial year 2020-25.
