New Delhi: The market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has crossed Rs 10 lakh crore. The company has become the second company in the country with a market capitalization of 10 lakh crore after Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited. A few days ago, Reliance Industries's market valuation had gone up to Rs 15 lakh crore, which is the highest market capitalization of any listed company in the country.
The board meeting of Tata Consultancy Service is going to be held this week in which the company will consider the share buyback. The tata consultancy service's board meeting today saw a surge of over 6% in TCS stocks in morning trade. TCS stock jumped 6.18% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) to Rs 2,678.80. In addition, TCS shares on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw a surge of 6.16%.
After the spurt in share price, TCS' market valuation in the atoron trade exceeded Rs 10 lakh crore. Last month, TCS' market valuation crossed Rs 9 lakh crore. In its regulatory feeling, TCS, in its board meeting on Sunday night, on October 7, talked about considering the buyback of the company's equity share. The company has not given any detailed information about the Boybeck plan.
