Electricity Production, Transmission and Distribution Company Tata Power has started the first plant to charge electric vehicles in Vikhroli, Mumbai. The company issued a statement saying that its goal is to create a network that helps people adopt electric vehicles and prepare for the future.
Such a smart charging plant will help the country to achieve its goal of fully electric vehicles by the year 2030.
The company's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Anil Sardana said, "We are happy and proud to start the Electric Vehicle, Charging Plant. Tata Power is committed to provide consumers with energy saving facilities and to establish a standard in adopting inclusive habits through innovative technology."
